SPANISH & ELD DEPARTMENT
The MHS Spanish & ELD Department offers Spanish courses for Non-Native Spanish Learners as well as a challenging curriculum for Native Spanish Speakers. The Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish III course is for those students who have mastered fluency in Speaking, Reading, Grammar and Writing in Spanish. 98% of all AP Spanish students have successfullypassed the Advanced Placement AP Exam each spring since beginning theSpanish AP program.
English Language Learners benefit from a wide range of ELD Academy & Support courses designed to provide English instruction while providing support for core classes. Furthermore, monthly ELAC meetings held at MHS provide a forum for parents to participate in the education of their English Language Learner child.
