Lima, Peru. Visitor
February 14, 2012

Tuesday February 14th, 2012 Mrs. Rosario Aliaga Artica, principal and administrator of the two “San Luis Gonzaga” Educational Group schools in Lima, Peru presented the McFarland Unified School District Board, with a commemorative plate and started a visit through the school district’s sites and classrooms.
One of the most memorable statements that Mrs. Aliaga gave to us was: “As I walked into the first classroom I was amazed to see all available technologies for teachers and teaching and thought; it must be really easy to have successful students if all these technologies and resources are available. However as days went by I kept going though classrooms, observed lessons and met teachers; then I realized that the quality of education comes from the philosophy and professionalism of the teachers and it is enhanced by the continuous support of the district’s leadership, the rest of the resources are just a support for the teaching strategies used by teachers on a daily basis. Your teachers are now an example that we must follow in our institution in Lima, Peru.”
