The McFarland Middle School (MMS) was built in 1997 to accommodate a growing middle school student population. It is located in the southwest side of the city of McFarland. The school was designed with 24 classrooms and has since had to add several portables to accommodate the student population growth. The student enrollment for the school, as of June 02, 2008 is 712 total students; males 356 and females 355.
